Johnson Canyon Icewalk

Join Mountain Park Transportation for a half-day winter adventure at Johnston Canyon in Banff National Park. Enjoy a scenic drive along the Bow Valley Parkway, with chances to spot elk, deer, and moose, before a guided hike through frozen waterfalls and towering canyon walls.

Your guide will equip you with ice cleats and poles for a safe walk along catwalks above the frozen creek, visiting both the Lower and Upper Falls. Watch ice climbers, learn about the canyon’s formation, and soak in the winter magic.

Return to Banff with a final chance for wildlife sightings along the way.
